The Performing Arts Summer School is open to anyone with a fluency in the English Language and a love of the Performing Arts, aged between 8 and 18 years. There are also places available for French speaking students who wish to develop their knowledge of English.
In just six days a full-scale musical production will be prepared. Students will be expected to encourage and inspire one another in a positive yet challenging environment based upon teamwork, commitment and shared goals. Students will be split into groups to receive intensive instruction from fully qualified and experienced teachers specialised in Music, Drama, Dance and Craft culminating in a public performance of the musical production on the Friday evening of each week. There will also be opportunities for sporting and leisure activities organised by our activity coordinators.
The rehearsals and shows will all take
place at the Centre International de Valbonne (CIV). This large American
style campus in a forest setting is situated at the heart of the Sophia
Antipolis 'Technopole' just a few kilometres from Antibes, Mougins
& Cannes and the centre is easily accessible from Nice whose international
airport lies some 20km to the east.

Residential Students participating in courses on the Côte D'Azur who wish to participate in a further week or weeks at Beauville will attract 'additional week' discounts at Beauville.
The non-refundable deposit is
required upon registration. The balance will be required by 31 May

Students will be housed at the Centre
International de Valbonne in single or twin room student accommodation.

At the beginning and end of each course Beauville Arts will run transfers as required to or from both the SNCF Train Station at Antibes and Nice International Airport. Airport transfers attract a supplement of 10 Euros per journey.
The Director of the course is Jonathan Mallalieu MA(Oxon), PGCE. He has had a distiguished career in the world of Performing Arts and has held the post of Director of Music in several schools within both the UK and International sectors. He has extensive experience as a Theatrical Director, having produced shows such as Guys and Dolls, My Fair Lady, Oliver, Our Day Out, The Insect Play, Grease, West Side Story, Cats, The Sound of Music, Bugsy Malone and Moulin Rouge. Jonathan has also written several musicals. He is now a freelance composer and musician and a Director of Beauville Arts.
