Beauville Arts is a specialist centre providing a foundation upon which to structure academic or performance-based music and drama courses.

Each school, college and youth group coming to Beauville has different aims and objectives, as well as different needs. Whether you are a school-based jazz big band or a local youth drama project, students preparing composition coursework for examinations or a year group opting for a Performing Arts Activity camp, Beauville Arts can offer a unique, bespoke course designed specifically to acheive your aims and fit your needs.

Some examples of the courses undertaken
at the centre:

  • Inset training for teachers on Music Technology
and use of technology in the classroom
  • Songwriting and recording weeks
  • Orchestral rehearsal/concert weeks
  • Theatre weeks for disabled children
  • Music curriculum courses: revision for GCSE and A level music; composition weeks for examination coursework; solo and ensemble performance recording for GCSE, A level and International Baccalaureate
  • Performing Arts courses combining
    music, drama, dance and craft
  • Specialist instrumental/vocal weeks
  • Chamber music and small ensembles

Beauville Arts can provide specialist teaching staff on all instruments, conducting, composition and ensemble performance. We are equipped with a wide range of rehearsal space ideal for small teaching groups, individual practice, dance rehearsals or symphony orchestras. The centre has a digital recording studio for high quality recording and mixdown as well as portable recording and amplification equipment for concerts and productions. Whatever style of music, Beauville Arts creates the ideal learning and performance environment.

We can cater for any age or ability range as Beauville Arts employs staff specific to each course. Numbers of students usually range from 12 up to 50, however study weeks for smaller numbers of students are common for GCSE, AL and IB revision and coursework. Depending on the time of year and the budget, students are accommodated either at the campsite in the village (choice of shared tents and mobile homes) or in one/several of the gite complexes close to the village. For more information on the campsite please visit www.les2lacs.info
